Reputation: Government institutions and major landmarks are all over this upscale arrondissement. The most famous is obviously the Eiffel Tower, which is best admired from the Champs de Mars parc on a comfortable distance from the tourist crowds. Other landmarks that can be found here are the Invalides – with its museums and Napoleon’s tomb – and three more museums: the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée Rodin and the Musée du Quai Branly which has an amazing asian garden, that’s a bit of a hidden treasure during spring and summer days, the last three are all dedicated to non-European cultures. The Palais Bourbon (National Assembly), École Militaire (Military School) and the UNESCO headquarters can also be found here.
Don’t miss: Eiffel Tower, Musée d’Orsay, Hôtel des Invalides, Musée Rodin, l’Assemblée Nationale, Musée du quai Branly, Les Egouts de Paris.
